Course Contents

This course is intended for Health & Safety Managers who want to gain an awareness & understanding of the
Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR). The regulation places a duty on employers to protect people and members of the public from the risks of fires and explosions as a result of work activities which utilize dangerous substances (i.e. flammable gases, flammable liquids, combustible gases). This course is based on extensive Bureau Veritas experience of both the DSEAR Regulations and undertaking DSEAR Assessments and provides a complete introduction to DSEAR by providing key definitions, when DSEAR is and isn’t required together with the key elements of the Qualitative Risk Assessment and Hazardous Area Classification which form the DSEAR Assessment.
