Objectives

Awareness on ASME Code Section IX:2019 (Qualification Standard for Welding, Brazing and Fusing Procedures & Welders, Brazers and Welding, Brazing and Fusing Operators).

This International Code or Standard contains mandatory requirements, specific prohibitions, and non-mandatory guidance for construction activities and in-service inspection and testing activities.

 

The purpose of this training course is to provide the participant with information on ASME Code Section IX by: 

Providing a forum in which discussion of the Code may be held to obtain different opinions and possible solutions to individual Code problems.

Showing how to find answers quickly by learning the organisation of the Code.

Presenting a step by step method of using the Code so as to be able to use it economically and still comply with the requirements.

Who the course is for

Those with an interest in working as Welding Engineers / Welding Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Control Engineers / Quality Control Inspectors in fabrication of pressure equipment / boilers / pressure piping in accordance to respective ASME Code Sections.
